The manufacturer Gamakatsu is widely known amongst anglers for their flawless, razor-sharp and strong hooks in all different branches of fishing. However, the traditional Japanese company can do much more than “just” hooks and sets the bar incredibly high in the field of rod building. With the ITM 40 rod series Gamakatsu has more than surpassed itself and created a worthy successor to the already very popular Akilas rod. The blanks of all ITM 40 rods are made of 36T + 40T Japanese carbon fiber, which is laid around the mandrel in a slow and careful process, so that each carbon fiber contributes perfectly to the stability and performance of the blank. Especially the fast action of the rod tip, paired with a tight lower part make the rod stand out, because the high modulation of the carbon fiber renders the raw blank extremely reactive. Finally, the rods are finished with the finest components from FUJI. This combination allows for incredible lure control and finesse, while cleanly transforming hard bites at a distance and dribbling even large fish quickly and safely. The hard material of the blank conducts every vibration, no matter how fine, through the blank to the full-carbon lower part of the handle, so you can feel - from index finger to elbow - exactly what is going on under water.

The ITM 40 80H or 90H was designed especially for classic jigging with medium-heavy lures and is the slightly lighter version of the 80XH or 90XH. It is the perfect weapon when hunting for large zander and big perch. These responsive blanks with incredible resonance provide perfect feedback for optimal bite detection. The length of the handles is enough to cast comfortably, while the lower part of the rod still rests against your forearm for optimal feel. This allows you to fish all day, even with the rod raised, without fatigue and perfectly focus on the lure guide. The rod comes with a casting weight of 10-45 g in two different lengths: In 2.40 m (80H) and in 2.70 m (90H), so you are well equipped for fishing from the boat or from a sheet pile wall, as well as for fishing from the shore with long casts the perfect companion.
