The W8 Powershad is THE jigging rod par excellence and an absolute premium model within the Westin line-up. It is designed for fine fishing mainly with softlures, but is also very popular for fishing with crankbaits. The Powershad is equipped with an incredibly sensitive blank, lethargic bites you can easily detect even at long distances. For an efficient bite exploitation, the blank is at the same time nice and tight and equipped with a crisp backbone. So every strike sits reliably and without delay. Especially it was developed for heavy perch and medium zander fishing, but of course also copes with large pike without any problems.

Despite its moderate casting weight of 15-40 g, the blank has an amazing casting power and can easily cope with much heavier baits. With a length of 240 cm, it is equally suitable for both shore and boat fishing. Likewise, the rod is suitable for many other types of fishing, because thanks to this universal combination of length and casting weight can easily serve a wide range of applications.

The Fuji SiC KL guides minimize drag with the line when casting even with braided lines.
