The manufacturer Gamakatsu is widely known amongst anglers for their flawless, razor-sharp and strong hooks in all different branches of fishing. With the ITM 40 rod series Gamakatsu has more than surpassed itself and created a worthy successor to the already very popular Akilas rod. The blanks of all ITM 40 rods are made of 36T + 40T Japanese carbon fiber, which is laid around the mandrel in a slow and careful process, so that each carbon fiber contributes perfectly to the stability and performance of the blank. Especially the fast action of the rod tip, paired with a tight lower part make the rod stand out, because the high modulation of the carbon fiber renders the raw blank extremely reactive. Finally, the rods are finished with the finest components from FUJI. This combination allows for incredible lure control and finesse, while cleanly transforming hard bites at a distance and dribbling even large fish quickly and safely. The hard material of the blank conducts every vibration, no matter how fine, through the blank to the full-carbon lower part of the handle, so you can feel - from index finger to elbow - exactly what is going on under water.

The ITM 40 80XH / 90XH was designed especially for classic jigging with heavier baits. These fast, tight but sensitive blanks allow you a perfect feedback about your bait and thus an excellent bite detection. Especially when hunting big zander and pike with soft plastics, these features are a must for detecting cautious takes and converting a hard strike even at a distance. The length of the handles is enough to cast comfortably, while the lower part of the rod still rests against your forearm for optimal feel. This allows you to fish all day without fatigue, even with the rod raised, and perfectly focus on the lure presentation.

Both, boat and the pure shore angler, have been thought of, because the ITM 40 Softbait comes in two lengths. The version in 2.70 m (90XH) is a true casting monster with its 15 g - 65 g casting weight and will enrich your shore fishing immensely. A must-have for every zander and pike hunter who wants to get his bait to long distances or has to keep the fish away from stone packs and other obstacles in front of his feet during the fight. The shorter model in 2.40 m (80XH), on the other hand, is ideal for boat fishing thanks to its slightly shorter blank. This gives you have a much more favorable leverage on the fish in the drill, especially on the last meters and when landing a big fish.
