Lamson Liquid S Fly Reel Kit day break

The second generation of Lamson Liquid fly reels not only provides a visual update but also comes with several other advantages. The Lamson Liquid S features a larger spool diameter and spool core compared to its popular predecessor. This results in a faster retrieval speed of the fly line and increased practical comfort. The strength-to-weight ratio in the die-cast process of robust aluminum has also been improved, thanks to a completely redesigned spool and housing. The new spool design also allows for cleaner line winding. The drag knob has been slightly enlarged, and its grip optimized. The overall result is that the Liquid S takes the 'Liquid' name to a higher level and presents a very interesting update in all aspects.

What remains is the fair price of the Liquid S, which continues to offer an affordable entry into Lamson's premium reels. An ideal companion for beginners and budget-conscious fly fishers! To enable the very friendly price of the Liquid series, Lamson imports the blanks for the reel and spool. The blanks' fits and contours are CNC-machined at Waterworks in the USA, and the reel is then fully assembled. All parts required for the braking system are also made, assembled, and quality-tested in the USA. This results in an affordable quality product that sets the direction in this price range and features a unique design. The proven enclosed drag system performs its service flawlessly, ensuring a very smooth and consistent line release in critical situations. The typical Lamson additional clicker prevents spool overrun at low brake settings and produces a pleasant clicking sound in both directions.

The Liquid S fly reel set includes two additional spare spools of the popular Liquid and a large bag. Particularly practical and inexpensive if you are fishing for one type of fish with different bait and want to change quickly, or if you are fishing different rod classes with one reel. The Lamson Liquid S offers "Made in USA quality" at a very pleasing price – a reliable quality fly reel for beginners and budget-conscious fly fishermen!

About Lamson:

Waterworks is immediately associated by most fly fishermen with the lightweight, reliable reels. Yet the origin of Waterkworks lies in a small, innovative tool. In 1996, Waterworks was founded by two anglers and product designers because they found a better solution to remove the fly from the fish's mouth faster and more gently. Named after their hometown in Idaho, the first Waterworks product, the Ketchum Release Tool, was launched in 1996.

Even before Waterworks was founded, product designers were working with high-quality components. Ryan Harrison honed his skills and knowledge in high-performance cycling, for example. Among other things, Harrison developed suspension technology for Cannondale mountain bikes, so he was already familiar with wheels in the frame.
It was only logical that the founders turned to fly reels after the release tool. Because fly reels were heavy, overly complex and unreliable at the time, so there was work to be done here. With the question in mind of what the perfect fly reel looks like, the ULA was born and represents the foundation of today's high quality fly reels. Together with Lamson, the fly reels, rods and accessories, now enjoy more than two decades of passion, innovation and solid engineering - with no end in sight.
