*1The Fifty+ series from Cortland is a range of fly lines that can withstand the strongest predators on the flats and open water, from Giant Trevalley to Billfish. The lines all feature the 50+ core, a core that can withstand more than 50 lb to keep the powerful predators under control and apply plenty of pressure.
The Cortland 50+ Tropic Series Giant Travelly Floating fly line is equipped with this extremely strong core to be able to fish for large GTs. In addition to the Fifty+ core, the fly line also has the Grip Set Coating developed by Cortland. A special coating that offers a special grip when setting the hook, but does not lose any of its suppleness and shooting ability. The construction of the head was also designed for demanding fishing for GT and other large mackerel. A 12.5 m long head that is stable and balanced in the air to achieve extremely long casts.
