The Fifty+ series from Cortland is a range of fly lines that can withstand the strongest predators on the flats and open water, from Giant Trevalley to Billfish. The lines all feature the 50+ core, a core that can withstand more than 50 lb to keep the powerful predators under control and apply plenty of pressure.
The Cortland 50+ Big Game Tropic Series Billfish fly line also has the particularly strong Fifty+Core braid, because this line has to transport the billfish to the boat and this is only possible with a maximum load-bearing capacity of the core. The Cortland Billfish fly line is the ideal choice for fishing for "sail carriers". The special design of the head is designed to present the line perfectly behind the boat. Not only is the line's 10.4 meter long, short sinking head ideal for fishing at sometimes fast speeds, the hi-vis tip is also a huge advantage. The front taper or tip, which is only 46 cm long, is set off in orange so that it is always clearly visible under the white, foamed water behind the boat.
