*1The Frances Tubefly was designed in the 1960s by Peter Deane, but it was his assistant Frances Hydon who tied it, and this is how the then peculiar tubefly got its name Frances.
The Frances Tubefly, with its carrot shape and stiff antennae, provides a lot of movement in the water and is known to catch even moody salmon and sea trout that have been lingering in the river for a while. The Black Frances Copper Tube is tied on a copper tube with a brass head, which provides the necessary weight even in high water, fast currents or deep pools.
Small is 2,5cm long without tails, has a 5,5mm brass cone and are tied on 0,25" brass tube.
Medium is 3,5cm long without tails, has a 6,3mm brass cone and are tied on 0,5" brass tube.
