Lamson Speedster S Fly Reel olive green

As the name implies, the Speedster S-Series Fly Reel by Lamson features a Super-Arbor-Design allowing for extremely high line pick-up speeds. A huge advantage during hard fights. In addition, the latest generation of the extremely popular Speedster family thrills with an innovative construction method and a completely new design!

Compared to its predecessor, this state-of-the-art reel features a slightly narrower and larger-diameter Super-Arbor-Design that allows for rapid pick-up speeds while saving valuable weight. The reel handle is placed slightly further inwards, which creates an increased gear ratio which allows you to catch up to those hot fish that run directly at you! The result of this innovative, lightweight construction method is a very light but equally sturdy reel that you can rely on 100%. It is much a lighter reel compared to its predecessor, without sacrificing performance - on the contrary, it is still an indestructible workhorse! In addition, its relatively open Super-Arbor-Design allows for quick drying of the line and it significantly reduces line memory, which benefits the life of your fly line. Last but not least, the extremely proven Sealed Conical Drag System ensures a smooth drag while fish are ripping line off, so that nothing stands in the way of the exceptional fish. This completely enclosed and extremely reliable braking system is known for its very low starting resistance and extremely smooth line release - just as you would expect from a top-class fly reel. This is the braking system that is used in almost all premium Lamson reels.

Of course, the latest generation of the Speedster family is milled from the best 6061 aluminum in the USA, so that the Speedster S convinces with first-class quality in all areas. Without exception, all sizes of this reel inspire in the corresponding field of application - from light Trout fishing with a dry fly to winter Pike hunting. The stylish Lamson Speedster S fly reel: a reliable companion for unforgettable hours on the water - season after season!

About Lamson:

Waterworks is immediately associated by most fly fishermen with the lightweight, reliable reels. Yet the origin of Waterkworks lies in a small, innovative tool. In 1996, Waterworks was founded by two anglers and product designers because they found a better solution to remove the fly from the fish's mouth faster and more gently. Named after their hometown in Idaho, the first Waterworks product, the Ketchum Release Tool, was launched in 1996.

Even before Waterworks was founded, product designers were working with high-quality components. Ryan Harrison honed his skills and knowledge in high-performance cycling, for example. Among other things, Harrison developed suspension technology for Cannondale mountain bikes, so he was already familiar with wheels in the frame.
It was only logical that the founders turned to fly reels after the release tool. Because fly reels were heavy, overly complex and unreliable at the time, so there was work to be done here. With the question in mind of what the perfect fly reel looks like, the ULA was born and represents the foundation of today's high quality fly reels. Together with Lamson, the fly reels, rods and accessories, now enjoy more than two decades of passion, innovation and solid engineering - with no end in sight.
