Cortland Bass & Pike Floating / Intermediate Fly line

The Cortland Bass & Pike Floating / Intermediate fly line is an outstanding line for streamers on predators of all kinds. From perch and trout to large pike, you can fish everything with the streamer line in camo look and thanks to the ingenious taper construction, it's even extremely easy!

The predator line loads the fly rods extremely easily, as the last few meters of the camo head contain most of the weight of the head. This means that the rod is loaded with just a few casts, even with larger fly patterns. For optimum presentation, even with flies with a lot of material, an 11 meter long intermediate head was chosen, which pulls the flies below the water surface. The intermediate version is the perfect choice for shallow water areas up to 2 m deep, but also for waters with a slight current. Another ingenious feature is that the head of the fly line has been selected in camo colors. This greatly reduces the spooking effect in clear water and makes the attentive predators less doubtful. A slowly thinning rear taper follows the line's head. As the area with the most pressure during casting is slightly thicker than the following running line, the durability of the line is improved enormously. The line's X Strong Coating, which is highly abrasion-resistant, also ensures special durability. With this line, you can even fish for perch in the undergrowth without having to worry about the fly line. In addition to its good durability, the 19.5 m long running line also has a particularly high floating coating, which is easy to lift from the water surface, for example when mending in flowing waters or when fishing from a boat. The floating running line also offers the possibility of presenting the fly extremely slowly and accurately on the intermediate head without the whole line sinking. Last but not least, the line has two pre-welded loops at the ends as standard, so that nothing stands in the way of assembly and success.

Anyone who likes streamer fishing for various predatory fish will love this line. In addition to trout, asp and the like, the Cortland Bass & Pike Floating / Intermediate fly line has proven to be a particularly effective line for pike in shallow water.
