This Guideline Mayfly spinner catches especially when the female Danicas lie flat on the water and have laid their eggs. Everyone probably knows the mayfly season (about April / June) at which you see many trout and grayling rise after dry flies, which are hidden the rest of the year in deeper holes and take only nymphs. This pattern catches both grayling and brown trout in season.
