Sondergaard Creek Stripping Basket black & pink
The Creek Stripping Basket by Sondergaard from Denmark is the little brother of the popular ECOastal. It is slightly smaller overall than the popular coastal model, has slightly lower walls and is thus even lighter - which is actually hard to imagine! For us, this model is an ideal choice for fishing on the creek or river, when you don't want to put your line down next to your feet due to bankside vegetation. And even when travelling, this line basket is a faithful companion thanks to its minimal packing size.
The Sondergaard Creek is extremely comfortable to wear and is hardly noticeable on the hips or in front of the belly. This is also due to its elastic and adjustable strap, which is fastened with Velcro and can be removed in no time if necessary. Other features of the Creek line tray include 12 holes in the bottom to help water drain quickly from the basket. The front edge of the stripping basket is also slightly raised so that less water can enter overall. It is made of a thick, robust foam that has a strong buoyancy in the water and makes the basket float like a cork. Unlike comparable models, however, the individual parts of this line basket are not simply glued together, but fused together. This ensures more stability and ultimately a longer service life. Apart from the high-quality workmanship, the line shoots out easily thanks to 12 elastic 'spikes' and is laid just as neatly when stripping in. A rod rest rounds off the package of useful features and becomes important at the latest when hand-landing a larger fish.
The Sondergaard Creek Stripping Basket is an alternative to the ECOastal and is extremely helpful, especially on smaller rivers and creeks.
