The inside is "brushed" to create an inner quality reminiscent of fleece texture. This makes it completely "itch-free"! Like other products in the LOC Merino series, the Merino wool for the beanie is also locally sourced in Sweden. The high-quality fabric is soft, stretchy, and lightweight, consisting of a blend of 60% Merino wool and 40% Tencel®. Merino wool provides warmth and is naturally odor-resistant. Ideal for longer trips! Tencel® is a cellulose-based fiber that adds structure to the material and enhances moisture absorption even further.

Note: In the first days of use, excess lint from the brushed inside may "migrate" through the fabric and appear as lint on the outside of the material. This is completely normal, and the "linting" process will stop after you've used the hat for a while.

Care Instructions for Merino Wool

Wool is truly an amazing material. It's breathable, durable, and has natural odor resistance. Wool's resistance to dirt and bacteria is well-documented, so it doesn't need to be washed as often as other fabrics.
After using these socks for a while, you can simply rinse them with lukewarm water and hang them to dry. That's usually all you need to make these socks feel fresh again. And if they do start to smell, it's time to throw them in the washing machine. But remember: washing garments made of Merino wool too often can diminish the natural properties of the wool. Use a laundry bag to protect the wool fabric in the machine if possible.

Here are some helpful tips for caring for Merino wool:

• Wash in the washing machine on the wool program (maximum temperature 30 degrees Celsius).
• Use a detergent specifically designed for wool if possible. If you don't have wool detergent, use a mild, environmentally certified detergent without enzymes and with a neutral pH.
• Do not use bleach.
• Do not use fabric softeners. They harm the environment and reduce the fabric's performance, especially decreasing moisture absorption and prolonging drying time.
• Do not tumble dry. This is also bad for the environment (and your energy bill), and since wool is heat-sensitive, it's a bad idea.
