The Opst Micro Skagit Dual Density Tips are specifically designed for fine trout and similar fishing, complementing the OPST Micro Skagit series perfectly. Therefore, the tips offer the possibility to extend the short shooting heads for single-handed rods and Trout Spey two-handed rods perfectly to achieve brilliant power transfer and roll-out properties. The OPST Micro Skagit Dual Density Tips strongly resemble the MOW-Tips, no wonder, as Ed Ward, the inventor of the MOW-Tips, is also behind the new Micro Tips. For perfect adaptation in different situations, the OPST Tips are available in three different variants, which can also be quickly changed on the water, for example, if the river section becomes deeper.

  • Opst Micro Skagit Dual Density Tip T8 - 4 ft Sink / 4ft Float:
    The split in the middle, half-sink, half-float tip is the ideal choice for shallower areas in the river or stream when the streamer needs to be brought quickly to depth but not too deep.

  • Opst Micro Skagit Dual Density Tip T8 - 6 ft Sink / 2ft Float:
    The tip with the 6ft long sink portion is for slightly deeper bends or when the current is stronger, so the fly is still quickly brought to depth and into the hot zone.

  • Opst Micro Skagit Dual Density Tip T8 - 8 ft full sink:
    The fully sinking tip from Opst is for deep sections and strong currents, for example, in flood phases. This head is also the right choice for larger flies with a lot of buoyancy.
