Product information "Soldarini Fly Tackle Euro Nymph Tapered Leader 30 ft"

Very long and fine leaders are used for many nymphing techniques in the stretched line style (e.g. 'French nymphing'). The aim of these presentation techniques is to create an almost direct connection to the nymph without impairing the free drift of the nymph. Even the smallest impulses tighten the fine leader and are transported as a clear impulse over the sensitive tip of the long rod (#2 - #4 with a length of 10ft. - 11ft.) due to the low stretch of the monofilament.

In contrast to other nymphing techniques, the bite is not seen but felt. For this reason, no normal floating bite indicators are used, but a 'sighter' is knotted between the long, tapered leader and the tippet. It serves as an orientation point in the leader during the drift and indicates whether the leader has too much or too little tension for reliable bite detection. This 'Euro Nymph Leader' from Soldarini Fly Tackle is designed precisely for this type of fishing. Made from a special monofilament, it has very low stretch, maximum abrasion resistance and no memory despite its length.

The advantages are obvious: even the smallest nymphs can be cast with pinpoint accuracy and it is much easier to make contact with the bait than with conventional leaders. The Euro Nymph Leader comes in a soft pink colour and can be easily observed in a wide range of light conditions. 30 ft. is a very special length and only suitable for modern nymphing techniques. The taper is tapered from 0.50mm to 0.20mm. This Euro Nymph Leader can therefore be perfectly combined with the ready-made Soldarini sighters or you can make your own sighter from the Two Tone Indicator monofilament in no time at all.
