Product information "Adams Fly Rods XTZ ADIXION Euro Nymph fly rod"
The Adams XTZ ADIXION is the next stage in the development of our XTZ series and sets new standards in Euro nymphing. It was developed for anglers who expect the highest precision, finest feedback and maximum control. Thanks to its low weight, high reactivity and an innovative handle concept, it offers precise presentations, exceptional sensitivity and an unmistakable feel that quickly becomes addictive.
The centrepiece of this rod is the newly developed handle and reel seat, which consists of an EVA handle and a hand-woven carbon reel seat. Both elements are fused into a single unit, which not only ensures comfort and excellent feedback, but also increases sensitivity by transferring vibrations from the blank directly into the hand. The shortened handle section makes it possible to reach the blank effortlessly with the index finger, while the hand lies close to the reel, creating a completely new sense of balance, and the rod appears lighter overall and can therefore be guided even more precisely - both when casting and during the drift. The hand-woven carbon reel seat also acts as a fighting butt and integrates the adjustable weight system developed with ZMK. Three individually removable weights allow precise fine tuning of the balance, and as there are no visible threads, the reel is permanently secure without the need for retightening. The blank of the XTZ ADIXION is made from multidirectional Toray carbon and utilises our X-Torzion technology, which prevents torsion under load and keeps the rod perfectly stable. As a result, control remains constant at all times when casting and during the fight. Prepreg carbon with reduced resin content makes the blank lighter, crisper and particularly responsive. The tip has been further refined in order to present even the smallest nymphs cleanly and to reduce the slipping of small fish, while the powerful handle section still offers enough reserves for larger fish. As with the previous XTZ series, Adams Fly Rods relies on an unpolished blank, which reduces line sticking when wet and does not require a monowrap. The matt finish provides a subtle, functional look with a slight non-stick property.
The rod has a 12+1 ringing layout, exclusive with insert rings to maintain the full bending curve of the blank. Two of the guides are fitted with a Sic insert, which ensures even more harmonious line guidance compared to the previous generation. The two rings are made of titanium with SIC inserts, the remaining rings are made of ultra-light wire stainless steel, which ensures smooth line flow and protects sensitive mono leaders and lines.
For safe transport, the XTZ ADIXION is supplied in a triangular Cordura tube with four individual compartments so that each blank section is stowed separately and protected. A small aluminium container for the three weights of the balance system is also included in the scope of delivery so that they are always neatly stowed away and quickly to hand.
