With the new Impulse Black Nymph, Traper presents a rod series specifically developed for enthusiasts of modern Euro-nymphing techniques. These finely tuned high-performance rods combine top-quality craftsmanship, innovative features, and carefully selected materials. The Japanese 40T carbon fiber blank with a matte, unpolished surface not only offers a classy finish but also delivers optimal feedback under demanding conditions. The antistatic coating effectively reduces line sticking to the blank, significantly improving casting and line control—especially in wet conditions.
The highlight of the series is the reverse-mounted (down-locking) reel seat made from CNC-machined aluminum: it shifts the reel’s weight to the rear, moving the rod’s balance point closer to the handle. This results in noticeably improved handling, control, and ultimately strike detection. The guides are all supplied by Pacific Bay—durable, lightweight, and precisely placed. All rods come in a rugged Cordura tube with divided lining and a 5-year service warranty.
