With the new Impulse Black Nymph, Traper presents a rod series specially developed for enthusiasts of modern Euro-nymphing techniques. These finely tuned high-performance rods combine top-tier manufacturing quality, innovative details, and a carefully selected choice of materials. The Japanese 40T carbon blank with a matte, unpolished surface not only provides a premium finish but also ensures optimal feedback under demanding conditions. The antistatic coating effectively reduces line stickiness to the blank, greatly improving casting and line control—especially in wet conditions.

The highlight of the series is the reverse-mounted (down-locking) reel seat made from CNC-machined aluminum: it shifts the reel’s weight backward, moving the rod's balance point closer to the grip. This noticeably improves handling, control, and ultimately strike detection. All guides come from Pacific Bay – robust, lightweight, and precisely positioned. Each rod is delivered in a durable Cordura tube with a sectioned lining and includes a 5-year service warranty.
