The Hydropsyche MAX-D Distance has been specially designed for stillwater fishing, both from the bank and from a boat. Developed for maximum casting distance, precise line control and stable fly control even in windy or difficult casting conditions, it offers you a combination of power, sensitivity and comfort. The progressive blank action provides sufficient backbone for both long presentations and in the drill without sacrificing fine feedback - ideal for lakes, large rivers or situations where distance gives you a decisive advantage.
The blank of the MAX-D Distance is based on modern graph-carbon technology, which creates a particularly light yet highly resilient structure. Thanks to the use of these innovative fibre materials and technically optimised resins, the blank is extremely light, perfectly balanced and extremely responsive. The design enables high retrieve speed, direct feedback of line movements and stable performance when casting hard over long distances. High-quality components such as an ergonomic handle with EVA and cork-reinforced ends ensure comfort during long casts, while a down-locking reel seat improves balance and reduces fatigue. Double sea stripping guides optimise line guidance, minimise friction and also support clean, long casts in a wide range of techniques and conditions.
