The Hydropsyche Tournament Euronymph XUL is a special tool for ultra-fine Euro Nymph fishing that is uncompromisingly tuned for competition use. The sensitive XUL set-up is perfectly designed for the thinnest leaders, lightest nymphs and maximum drift control at distance. The highlight of this model is the additional full carbon tip, which provides even more sensitivity and feedback in addition to the already extremely sensitive standard tip. This means that even the most tentative of grips can be reliably recognised, while at the same time there is sufficient backbone in the lower blank area to safely direct even larger fish. The balanced action combines sensitive tip action with progressive power development during the fight.

The blank is based on highly modulated Japanese carbon fibre, in which 45 degree carbon layers are specifically integrated. 45 degree carbon refers to fibre layers running diagonally to the rod axis, which make the blank particularly resistant to twisting and significantly increase torsional stability. This construction prevents twisting under load, which is crucial for the precise guidance of fine nymphs and thin rigs. In combination with a resin-optimised prepreg construction and modern Nano Resin System, the result is a very light, responsive blank with high structural integrity. The reduced amount of resin lowers the weight, increases the natural frequency and enables an exceptionally fast recovery after the casting impulse. Titanium insert guides reduce the weight at the tip, while double sea stripping guides ensure precise line guidance, minimised friction and controlled casts even with the thinnest leaders. The unpolished blank finish preserves the full fibre structure and contributes to maximum stability.
