The new Scientific Anglers Sonar Saltwater Intermediate fly line brings targeted performance to saltwater fly fishing, especially where near-surface presentations to very cautious fish are required. With its clear haunch, it cuts through the water surface and ensures minimal visibility during demanding flats fishing.
Thanks to the slow sinking behaviour of approx. 1.25 ips (inches per second), your fly remains just below the surface, exactly where species such as bonefish, permit, redfish or tarpon are active. The "Tropi-Core" technology makes the line heat-stable and suitable for tropical saltwater scenarios where conventional lines would fail.
The Sonar Saltwater Intermediate is designed to balance precision, sensitive presentation and robustness. A clear head section for stealth, paired with a strong running section and resilient materials, so big casts and frequent use are no problem.
