The shooting head systems from NEXTCAST are becoming increasingly popular. Especially among ambitious salmon and steelhead anglers, a true hype has developed in recent years around the well-designed shooting heads. We've also come to love the tailored, user-friendly tapers and are continually delighted by the outstanding casting characteristics. In addition to the very popular two-handed shooting heads, as well as matching tips and running lines, the extensive collection also includes excellent lines for modern streamer fishing for trout. What we particularly like is that there's definitely a suitable line in the Nextcast range for every casting style and every water condition. A brand-new addition is a fully integrated version of the popular Zone Series – for those looking for a seamless setup with maximum performance.
Nextcast Zone
This line has become an absolute bestseller for Nextcast in recent years. Why? Simple: it's as universal and user-friendly as a two-handed line can get. Nextcast itself refers to the line as a hybrid between Scandi and Skagit. It combines the power and energy transfer of a Skagit with the delicate presentation characteristics of a Scandi shooting head. This is mainly due to the special taper design. A lot of weight in the rear part of the head ensures the rod loads effectively with minimal effort. But more importantly: this line gets you closer to the fish faster, because you spend less time thinking while casting, save energy, and can focus solely on the fly in the water. It doesn’t matter which casting style you prefer. Even heavy T-Tips can be cast effortlessly thanks to the efficient energy transfer.
Now also available as a fully integrated line!
The Zone Series is now also available as a completely integrated line system – with a built-in running line. This new version not only provides a more stable loop shape overall but also significantly simplifies mending, improves handling during the swing, and makes stripping in more comfortable and efficient. Especially under tough, summery conditions, the integrated version shows its strengths: fewer transitions and more control = cleaner presentations and better speed control during the swing. For those seeking maximum efficiency and performance without system disruptions, this is the complete worry-free package.
Zone 2D
The Zone 2D lines are designed to function as a multi-tip system. Head + sink tip make up the final casting weight. This interchangeable tip system offers maximum flexibility on the water and allows quick adaptation to different water conditions. Together with a few different sink tips, you can react extremely quickly to any weather or water situation.
Note: This line should be combined with a tip to function ideally. The final casting weight consists of body + tip.
