Two great news from Iceland that excite us! First, Einarsson and NAM have teamed up, two outstanding manufacturers with exceptional quality. And secondly, the sizes of the Einarsson reels have been, in our view, very successfully optimized. In addition, for fans of closed reels, there is the Solid Model, one of the popular Einarsson reels with a fully closed back for a unique, classic, and at the same time modern look.
The Einarsson Plus Fly Reel has long been a popular reel with a timeless design and very high quality. Together with NAM, this quality will of course continue to be maintained at a very high level, so that the reels will continue to impress us. The design of the reel is not only unmistakable, but also thoughtfully planned, making the reels very light without losing stability. This stability is, for example, supported by the full-frame construction, which ensures that the reel can be stressed to the maximum when fighting large fish. On the Solid, this stability is of course further enhanced by the closed back. But even in fine trout fishing, the closed cage shows its advantages, as thin mono leaders when nymphing or running lines cannot escape from the fly reel. There has also been a small change in the carbon drag system, which can be adjusted as smooth as butter. The drag knob is now easier to grip and the drag effect easier to adjust, as the knob diameter has been made slightly larger. Visually, this also fits much better with the reels, in our opinion. Finally, the fly reel features a high-quality and durable Type III anodized finish, which protects the reel’s aluminum and gives the reels their respective color.
All components are manufactured and assembled in-house at Einarsson. Only the carbon drag disc, the bearing, and the seals are sourced from carefully selected German manufacturers. The special lightweight construction and material provide incredible stability for lifelong, extremely tough use. We are glad to finally be able to offer these reels again!
5 Plus
The 5Plus from Einarsson is the ideal reel for rods in classes 4-7. Whether for trout fishing in streams with a dry fly rod, a Euro nymph, or a light trout spey, the 5Plus has a very versatile range of uses and goes up to #6 or #7 for sea trout fishing. WF6 + 100m 20lbs
7 Plus
The 7Plus is very versatile and suitable both for single-handed rods up to line class #9, for example when pike fishing, or for switch rods and light, shorter two-hand rods. WF7F + 135m 20lb
