The SALAR series from Frödin was developed by experienced fly fishermen - with one clear goal: maximum control and optimum presentation in all conditions. The Salar Convert Short Spey Singlehand Shooting Heads are compact multi-tip shooting heads with a Scandinavian-inspired taper design, specially developed for efficient underhand casting in the singlehand range as well as modern Skagit and Scandi style casts. They impress with a powerful but controlled taper, clean turnover and precise presentation - even under demanding conditions.
The floating-intermediate version combines the properties of a floating line with a subtle sinking segment to bring the fly slightly below the surface. This allows natural drifts and precise presentations to be achieved even in mid-water areas.
Floating-Intermediate (F/I)
The floating intermediate version is ideal for surface control with slight sinking. It offers high buoyancy, simple control and enables a precise presentation in medium water depths - perfect for cautious fish or moderate currents.
