The Wapsi Ewing Top Capes Grizzly Premium Quality offer a high-quality selection of hackle feathers with a classic grizzly pattern and cover a wide range of hook sizes. The characteristic, high-contrast banding makes these feathers particularly suitable for realistic and visually appealing fly patterns.
The cape covers the entire size range of common dry flies: From very fine hackle tips for small sizes (approx. 18 and smaller) to the heavily used area in the sweet spot (size 14 - 16) to larger feathers in the medium range (approx. 12 - 14). This means that a variety of different patterns can be efficiently tied with just one cape.
In addition, the top cape contains a deceiver patch with longer, softer feathers that are ideal for streamers, bass bugs and saltwater patterns. The combination of fine dry fly hackles and moving streamer feathers makes this product particularly versatile in use.
