These special rods are the result of years of experience in international championships on rivers and lakes, but also offer many advantages for everyday fishing. They are characterised by enormous lightness and stability and have a very good price-performance ratio.
The Hydropsyche Tournament Extreme Distance was specially designed for fishing in still waters, both from the bank and from a boat. With its balanced blank and length, it enables long and precise casts, even in difficult casting conditions, and ensures maximum control over the fly at longer distances. Thanks to the sensitive tip action, even cautious bites are reliably recognised, while the progressive bottom blank provides sufficient backbone to land fish safely.
The blank is made of highly modulated Japanese carbon fibre with 45 degree carbon layers inserted diagonally. This technique increases the torsional rigidity and ensures outstanding stability for long casts. The combination with resin-optimised prepreg layers and modern Nano Resin System creates an extremely light, responsive blank with high structural integrity. Titanium insert guides reduce the mass in the tip area, while double sea stripping guides optimise line guidance, minimise friction and guarantee direct feedback when casting and guiding the fly. The unpolished finish preserves the natural blank structure and ensures maximum durability and performance.
