These special rods are the result of years of experience in international championships on rivers and lakes, but also offer many advantages for everyday fishing. They are characterised by enormous lightness and stability and have a very good price-performance ratio.
The Hydropsyche Tournament Dryfly is specially designed for light dry fly fishing and nymph fishing. It is ideal for fine bite indicator rigs and the precise presentation of dry flies at short to medium distances. The sensitive tip action allows for the reliable detection of the smallest of grips, while the progressive bottom blank provides sufficient backbone to land fish gently and in a controlled manner.
The blank is made of highly modulated Japanese carbon fibre with 45 degree carbon layers inserted diagonally. This technique increases the torsional rigidity and ensures outstanding stability for fine casts and sensitive fish control. Resin-optimised prepreg layers and modern Nano Resin System create an extremely light, responsive blank with high structural integrity. Titanium insert guides reduce weight at the tip, while double sea stripping guides improve line control, minimise friction and guarantee direct feedback on even the lightest bites. The unpolished blank finish preserves the natural blank structure and ensures maximum longevity.
