The Monic Striper Elite Long Intermediate fly line was developed for all those who value maximum stability, precision and long distances when casting. With its 14 m long head, it loads the rod harmoniously and ensures smooth, controlled shooting behaviour - perfect if you want to present flies cleanly and need more distance when casting.
As with the short version, the long also impresses with its ideal sinking behaviour: With a sink rate of 1.5-2 ips, the line sinks reliably to optimally present streamers - whether for sea bass, pike or sea trout. Thanks to the clever density compensation, the front part of the head sinks faster, while the rear part sinks more slowly. This means that contact with the fly remains direct at all times, even in waves - for better control and a significantly higher bite yield.
The Head Length of the Long is particularly advantageous when you want to master greater casting distances or keep flies clean in the air. The whole thing is supported by a 10 ft handling zone, which provides more control when casting and at the same time increases the service life of the line.
Like all Monic lines, the Striper Elite Long also relies on the supple, braided fibre core with low to moderate stretch. It not only offers shock-absorbing properties, but also excellent hook setting with minimal effort.
