For hardcore fans of dry fishing, the Monic Precision Dry Fly Taper fly line is just the thing! The long front taper of the line also makes it possible to lay down leaders that extend far beyond 15 ft without the fly hitting the water. This means that even the smallest CDC patterns can be deposited ultra-gently and therefore dry on the surface of the water. To ensure that this doesn't just work at close range, the Dry Fly Taper line has a nice rear taper with an adjoining handling section, which also allows large amounts of line to be held in the air in a controlled manner and presented with pinpoint accuracy.
The core of the floating line is made of GSP braid, which has no evidence of stretching. This enables a sensitive but powerful strike even at long distances. In addition, the core without stretch offers an incredible casting experience thanks to direct transfer to the rod and hands. And should the line ever be used for streaming, as a high water level does not allow fishing with a dry fly, you can be sure that you will not miss a single bite.
Another plus point of the fine floating line is the Skyline Coating, which is translucent. The scaring effect on the fish is significantly minimised compared to an opaque fly line. Only the braided core of the line casts a small shadow on the bottom of the water.
