The legendary coastal classic is back - and better than ever. The Guideline Coastal Classic Slow Intermediate combines the proven, wind-penetrating taper of the original Coastal line with targeted modernisations that take range, control and comfort to a new level. Anyone who casts large flies over the spray or fishes in stormy seas will immediately appreciate the power and precision of this line.

The revised profile loads particularly efficiently, even in strong headwinds or turbulent coastal surf. The front taper delivers enough power to accelerate weighted or bulky flies cleanly, while the two-metre rear taper provides plenty of control and a stable air phase. The new, soft coating formula ensures a smooth casting feel and reduces memory even at low temperatures, so that loops remain constant and do not warp.

Thanks to the density-compensated slow intermediate profile, the line runs consistently smoothly under the water surface, which is ideal for maintaining constant contact with the fly, especially in choppy seas or waves. The core has a very low stretch, which enables direct power transmission and excellent bite detection. At the same time, Guideline is committed to sustainability: the line is phthalate-free, comes on a PLA spool and in environmentally friendly, recycled packaging. This combination makes it the ideal choice for sea trout fishing on the coast, especially in windy conditions, with large flies or when you want to make long casts.
