The two Brook models in the Elevation series are short, lightweight rods designed for small to medium-sized streams. For this type of fishing, especially in overgrown creeks with what’s known as a "green tunnel," rod lengths of only 7.2 ft and 8 ft were chosen. This allows you to stand in even the smallest stream and perfectly present your dry fly or nymph upstream. The brilliant action of the Elevation Brook is also tailored for this type of fishing. The mid-flex action of the blank works beautifully from the middle of the rod all the way to the fine tip of the Brook. This ensures that even small casting motions in tight spots load the rod effectively and allow surprising casting distances. Another advantage of the mid-flex curve is the sensitive, slightly softer tip that absorbs every head shake during the fight, allowing even the thinnest leaders to be used without breaking. Additionally, the rod's parabolic motion makes water-based casts, such as roll casts or switch casts, effortless—even when there’s no room for a backcast.
