Product information "Umpqua Streamer Double Gonga Rust #4 x #4"

The Double Gonga Streamer from Umpqua is a very effective pattern for streamers for trout. The fly consists of two hooks, each of which is size #4. This makes the Double Gonga very manoeuvrable as it consists of two parts. The soft materials used also result in a great play in the water, even with the slightest movement or low current. In order to maintain the optimum depth even in strong currents, heavy eyes have been incorporated so that the fly starts to sink as soon as it hits the water. Another advantage for the sinking behaviour is the head material. Deer hair was deliberately avoided here, as it creates too much buoyancy. However, in order to create enough volume in the fly, a fur was tied in using a dubbing loop and moulded into shape. This gives the fly an ingenious silhouette without stopping it from sinking. A well thought-out and very effective pattern that is not only very attractive to trout. The fly is also a very good choice for perch and zander.

  • Rust
Rust is a popular colour all year round and in all conditions. This is because it is one of the natural colours, as many bobbers in the river are dark brown in colour. The colour Rust can therefore be offered without hesitation in clear water. However, it is also a good choice in low light or in murky water as it offers sufficient contrast.
