Umpqua Perform X HD Barracuda Nylon Leader with Tyger Wire
The X HD Leader for barracuda—as well as pike and similar predators—is specially designed to safely land large, toothy fish. It features a 6ft section of hard nylon with incredibly high breaking strength and is complemented by an 18 inch (45 cm) steel section. The "tippet" is the ingenious TyGer Wire, known for its high tensile strength and abrasion resistance, while still allowing for any type of knot. For quick deployment, the two materials are pre-connected with a hand-tied Albright knot.
