Deceiver HD Bonefish Fluorocarbon Leader PINK
The knotless tapered Deceiver HD Bonefish fluorocarbon leaders are made from 100% fluorocarbon. These drawn leaders feature a special taper that ensures clean presentations even in strong wind and when using weighted or bulky fly patterns – with a fast sink rate and near invisibility.
Like any other fluorocarbon, Umpqua’s FC has two major advantages: First, fluorocarbon has a light refraction index similar to water, making FC leaders nearly invisible underwater. In crystal-clear water, this often gives them a performance edge over traditional nylon (monofilament) leaders. Second, fluorocarbon sinks easily, whereas nylon floats. Because of this – and thanks to its higher abrasion resistance – FC is ideal in areas with rocks or other structures that can pose a risk during the fight.
