The Rio Tapered Tarpon Leader 12 ft with Fluoroarbon Shock Tippet 2 pc Pack is a specially designed leader for demanding tarpon fishing. The design is based on a fully tapered leader which allows for significantly better energy transfer and presentation when casting than conventional, non-tapered leaders. This longer, tapered design ensures a clean turnover of the fly and more control in windy conditions or heavier fly patterns. At the end of each leader is a fluorocarbon shock tippet that provides protection against the powerful flights and sharp structures that often occur when tarpon fishing.
The leaders are available in a pack of 2 and come with a hand-tied Perfection Loop at the butt end for easy connection to your fly line.
