The Rio Mainstream Seatrout & Striper Clear Intermediate is an outstanding all-round line for fishing with streamers on the coast and in still water inland. The compact Head Weight of the line with the weight shifted to the front is easy to cast, offers a lot of control in the cast and has a great turn-over behaviour even with bushy flies which makes fishing with the streamer easy.
At 24.4 metres, the Rio Mainstream Seatrout & Striper Clear Intermediate is a fairly short line, which benefits the fair price. However, 24.4 metres is more than sufficient in most cases, especially for streamer fishing when discreet presentation at long distances is not an issue. The 9.10 metre head is an ideal length for fast rod loading, even with larger flies, but still offers amazing stability for long casts. In short, the Rio Mainstream Seatrout & Striper Clear Intermediate has an ideal setup for streamer fishing for sea trout or sea bass, which is further emphasised by the intermediate sink rate.
