Product information "Oros Strike Indicator Tech Pack 3er Set Hi-Vis, Glow In The Dark, Anti Glare"
Oros is a young startup from the USA that focuses on solving practical problems we fly fishers encounter on the water. This includes nymph fishing with strike indicators. Many conventional strike indicators on the market share the same disadvantages — and that’s exactly where the Oros Strike Indicator comes into play!
The round Oros indicators in bright, high-visibility colors consist of just two parts, allowing for very easy assembly. These indicators don’t contain any small parts that could get lost at the water. The outer surface of the Oros Strike Indicators is smooth, preventing the leader from getting caught and reducing wind resistance.
Inside the two soft foam hemispheres of the Oros indicator is the actual fastening element. The leader is inserted here and remains undamaged while fishing — unlike many traditional indicators, it won’t kink. This significantly extends the lifespan of your tippet or leader! The pressure-resistant closure is very easy to use and keeps the Oros Strike Indicator in position. This means you can always be confident that your nymph is being presented at the correct depth.
Anti Glare: The black indicators offer a great advantage over all others — they are extremely visible in harsh lighting conditions, especially when the sun is low and reflecting off the water! They also provide high contrast in bright rivers, such as many alpine streams in Austria or Slovenia.
Glow in the dark: Now you can track your nymph even during night missions or foggy sessions — the Glow in the Dark Oros models shine in the dark!
Hi-Vis: The High Visibility color is extremely easy to see in most rivers and lakes under normal lighting conditions.
Oros Strike Indicator Assembly:
- Unscrew the top part
- Place the leader into the screw slot of the bottom part
- Attach the top part and screw it on until the screw and nut securely hold the leader
- To reposition the indicator on the leader, loosen the screw by a quarter turn
- Do not overtighten!
Our Recommendations:
- Small (S): The smallest Oros indicators have a diameter of approx. 1.6 cm. Perfect for fine nymph fishing with leaders of 0.15 mm or thinner. If you're using lighter line classes and enjoy fishing with #3 or #4 rods, this size is a great choice.
- Medium (M): These indicators have a diameter of approx. 2.1 cm. Versatile and an excellent choice even for fast-flowing waters. Ideal for leaders with a diameter of 0.18 mm or thinner and for line classes #3 to #5.
- Large (L): The largest Oros indicators have a diameter of approx. 2.6 cm, making them especially suitable for fishing with heavy nymphs, for example when targeting barbel. They work best with leaders of 0.20 mm or thinner and can be cast most effectively with line classes #4 to #6. Great for large, deep waters!

Tips: If you're fishing with extra-thin leaders, we recommend not only inserting the mono or fluorocarbon through the slot in the fastening mechanism, but also wrapping it once around the screw. The soft foam may deform during storage, so we recommend transporting your Oros indicators in a container.
