The taper of these shooting heads is perfectly suited for both Scandi and Skagit casting styles. The weights of the NAM double-handed shooting heads are precisely tuned for their intended applications and rod classes – something you'll notice right from the first cast.

The Nam Adaptiv Speyhead Floating Shooting Head features a classic Scandinavian taper with a stable front taper. This means it holds more steadily and beautifully in the air compared to, for example, a Skagit head and enables long, stable casts across to the other side of the river – with a smooth, yet accurate flight path. It can be combined with powerful T-tips as well as Scandi tapered leaders to adjust the fly depth as needed. The Nam Adaptiv shooting heads also feature a high-density, low-stretch core, ensuring constant direct contact with your fly and fish!
