The spools have been made slightly narrower but deeper, which results in improved line and backing pick-up and ensures perfectly balanced running. The fully enclosed spool cage reliably prevents thin running lines or long leaders from getting between the frame and spool, a clear advantage for modern techniques such as Euro Nymphing or shore fishing.

The large arbour design of the Halo EVO ensures a particularly fast line retraction and reduces unwanted memory in the flying line. This shows its strengths especially at lower temperatures or in situations where spontaneous reactions are required. The sealed carbon and stainless steel drag system delivers consistent, powerful and low-maintenance performance. The 46 model works with a finely responsive drag and a maximum force of 1.5 kilograms, ideal for trout and grayling. The larger models 79 and 911 have a drag force of 4 kilograms and are therefore perfect for demanding fishing for sea trout, pike or even tropical species such as bonefish, tarpon or GT.

Another practical feature is the quick and tool-free change of retraction direction, which enables uncomplicated use for right or left-handed fishing.
