The Galvan Torque fly reel is the strong backbone of the Galvan reel series, which has been on the market since 2004 and was last equipped with a newly revised drag system in 2021 - the Torque drag system! The Torque braking system is known for its extremely smooth start-up and fine adjustment. This ensures that even jerky escapes by strong fish can be intercepted without causing the leader to break. The system is based on a disc brake made of thermoplastic and carbon, which is practically maintenance-free thanks to the latest technology. The same applies to the inner running of the reel, as a state-of-the-art high-pressure velocity plastic bush has been used instead of the usual ball bearing. The bushing completely replaces the bearing and has the great advantage that it cannot rust and rotates almost frictionlessly. Fishing in the rain or even immersion in water is therefore less of a problem than with some other reels. The frame and spool of the Troque fly reel from Galvan were designed using maximum porting technology. A process in which the smallest possible weight is determined using the latest CAD and CNC technology without losing stability. As a result, the fly reel is very light, yet robust and also equipped with an extremely powerful drag system.

  Maximum Porting at Galvan stands for perfection from two different worlds! Minimum weight with maximum stability. Galvan attaches great importance to the robustness and stability of a fly reel, but also knows that in today's world this does not always have to mean heavy constructions. Using the latest CAD technology and precise calculations, any superfluous weight that does not contribute to the function or stability of the reel is removed!

  Large Arbor Design. A fast line pick-up is a crucial point in the fight when you have to get the slack line onto the reel in the shortest possible time. At the same time, of course, the reel must not be too big or too heavy, so Galvan always finds a good compromise with precise calculations.
  
  
• Low-Cof
  Galvan's Low-Cof technology is based on the drag system and ensures that the starting resistance of the drag is extremely gentle when the reel is pulled. This has the ingenious advantage that even the thinnest leaders do not tear when a fish escapes.
  
  
• EZ-Grab
