With the Air 2 Reach, Winston launches a special version of their successful Air 2 series - designed for situations where reach, control and sensitivity are crucial. Whether for technical nymph fishing, extra-long drifts with dry flies, stillwater fishing or distance roll casting, these 10-foot rods deliver impressive performance in every respect and significantly extend the range of applications for the Air 2.

The Reach models have been developed with the same high standards and attention to detail as the classic Air 2, but their extra length brings its own advantages. The combination of the latest high-modulus graphite (S-2000) and the innovative HSR resin (High Strain Rate) ensures a fast reset speed, a smooth flow of energy and very direct feedback across the entire blank. Exactly what you need to present precisely and sensitively - even over long distances or in demanding conditions.

Compared to the standard Air 2, the Reach models are slightly more powerful without sacrificing finesse. The 5 and 6 versions in particular offer noticeably more backbone for larger fish, heavy nymphs or wind, while the 4 model is ideal for fine presentations with long leaders. All models boast a very low swing weight, which is by no means a matter of course with a length of 10 feet.

As you would expect from Winston, the Reach series is also handmade in Twin Bridges/Montana and is beyond reproach in terms of workmanship.
