The Vision Grand Daddy+ Sink 2 to Sink 4 fly line is the perfect choice for targeted fishing with large and air resistant flies for predatory fish in deeper water layers. Thanks to its graduated sink rate, it enables a controlled presentation over the entire depth and brings the fly quickly into the desired zone!
With the Grand Daddy+, the Finnish experts at Vision have developed a revised version of the popular Grand Daddy 85. The 8.5 metre long head with a strong front taper ensures optimum power transmission and makes casting large streamers considerably easier. The increased head weight allows the rod to load faster, while the slightly longer overall line also offers experienced casters sufficient running line. The new, particularly supple Bolzi coating remains flexible even in cold temperatures, is PVC-free and effectively reduces tangles. Manufactured in Great Britain, the line impresses with its consistently high processing quality and durability.
Inside, a modern, low-stretch core ensures direct contact with the fly, which means that even the finest bites are reliably transmitted and a secure strike is possible. At the same time, the low-stretch core significantly improves energy transfer during casting compared to conventional lines. The so-called Sliding Density™ technology ensures that the sink rate increases towards the tip (from sink 2 to sink 4), allowing the fly to be guided stably and with direct contact. The clearly labelled line ID on the tip and the sturdy welded loops at both ends enable quick and easy assembly of the backing and leader.
