Veniard Pre Formed Booby Eyes Medium 5mm are ready-made, pre-formed eyes for fly patterns that have been specially developed to optimise stillwater trout flies. The Booby Eyes are tied directly into the fly and create a subtle buoyancy under water. The flies are mainly fished on sinking lines; when strip-stopped, the fly then rises slightly, imitating the natural movement of dragonfly larvae, small fish or other prey and encouraging the trout to bite.
The 5mm medium version is ideal for medium sized stillwater trout flies, provides a balanced proportion and is particularly suitable for fly tiers looking for fast, clean and durable solutions for their trout patterns.
