The Creek Stripping Basket from Sondergaard in Denmark is the little brother of the popular Sondergaard ECOastal Stripping Basket. It is slightly smaller overall than the popular inshore model, has slightly lower walls and is therefore even lighter - which is hard to imagine! For us, this model is an ideal choice for stream or river fishing when you don't want to lay your line next to your feet due to bank vegetation. Thanks to its minimal pack size, this line basket is also a loyal companion when travelling. The Creek is extremely comfortable to wear and is barely noticeable on the hips or in front of the stomach. This is also due to its elasticated and adjustable strap, which is fastened with Velcro and can be removed in no time at all if necessary. Other features of the Creek cord basket include 12 holes in the base, which help water to drain quickly from the basket. The front edge of the cord basket is also slightly raised so that less water can penetrate. It is made from a thick, robust foam that has a strong buoyancy in the water and allows the cord basket to float like a Korkers. In contrast to comparable models, however, the individual parts of this line basket are not simply glued together, but fused together. This ensures greater stability and ultimately a longer service life. Apart from the high-quality workmanship, the line shoots out easily thanks to 12 elastic 'spikes' and is also neatly laid when stripping in. A rod rest rounds off the package of useful features and becomes important when hand-landing a larger fish at the latest. The Sondergaard Creek Stripping Basket is in no way inferior to the ECOastal and is extremely helpful, especially on streams and rivers. You can clearly see that passionate anglers have been at work here again, who have put a lot of thought into the practicalities. This line basket from Sondergaard is also handmade in Denmark and made from biodegradable materials. That gets a thumbs up!
