The Soldarini Specialist Washing Line Buzzer & Seatrout #7 Clear Midge Tip is a specially developed stillwater fly line for the successful "washing line" technique. Depending on the area of application, it is available with a 1 ft (approx. 30 cm) or 2 ft (approx. 60 cm) long clear intermediate tip. The tips of both versions have a sink rate of 1.5 inches per second and enable nymphs, chironomids (buzzers) and small streamers to quickly penetrate the uppermost layers of water and quickly reach the catchable area.
Based on Sandro Soldarini's direct practical experience, this line was developed specifically for situations in which trout are close to the surface, at a depth of 70 cm to 1 metre. It really comes into its own in windy conditions: The slightly sinking tip brings the flies quickly to working depth, while the floating running line section enables optimum control, drift stability and very good bite detection. It is the preferred choice for fishing with nymphs and buzzers close to the surface.
Made with a sensitive Micro Power Core, the line offers excellent feedback and remains supple and powerful even at low temperatures, ideal for use in winter. The eye-catching colour ensures maximum visibility at distance and makes it easier to detect even the finest bites.
Due to the slightly sinking clear tip, the line is also ideal for coastal fishing for sea trout, as it always fishes slightly below the wave.
