All Absolute monofilament leaders from Scientific Anglers are made from a special nylon blend that drastically reduces the absorption of water while ensuring optimum suppleness for high knot strength. Absolute nylon leaders and tippets have a 29% higher wet knot strength compared to previous Scientific Anglers materials and up to 40% higher wet knot strength compared to many other products on the market. The new Absolute range from SA comes with environmentally friendly paper-based packaging and is now 100% recyclable. All materials, colours and other components of the packaging are fully biodegradable to protect our rivers and oceans and reduce our environmental footprint.

The Absolute Saltwater Leader is 10 ft. (3.05 m) long and is particularly suitable for tropical fishing for bonefish, permit and other species that visit the flats to feed. It reels very well and handles weighted shrimp and crab patterns with ease. The nylon blend is medium stiff and therefore supports an accurate presentation at all casting distances - even in strong winds. A real all-round leader for flats fishing, which can be extended with a fluorocarbon or nylon tip using a blood knot if required.
