The W's Classic Retro-X Jacket is one of Patagonia's most popular jackets - both for everyday wear and for all outdoor activities. No wonder, because this windproof and warm jacket is extremely versatile! And now this Patagonia classic has been further developed - more sustainable, more robust and even more comfortable. The new Retro-X fleece jacket now uses a 349 g/m² 6-mm fleece made from 100% Repreve® recycled polyester, which is certified by OceanCycle. The raw material comes from coastal regions that are particularly threatened by plastic pollution, which not only offers high-quality functionality but also makes an active contribution to protecting the oceans.
For reliable weather protection, the fleece is combined with a stretchy 75 g/m² taffeta lining made from 100% recycled polyester, which is treated with a durable water-repellent DWR finish (made without PFAS). This effectively keeps out the wind and retains heat while reliably repelling moisture.
The stand-up collar is lined with fleece on the inside and reinforced on the outside with NetPlus® 100% recycled nylon trim made from old fishing nets to ensure additional durability. A full-length front zip with internal storm flap minimises heat loss in cold gusts. The Y-joint sleeve construction optimises freedom of movement in the shoulder and arm areas, while elasticated edging at the collar, cuffs, front zip and hem stabilises the fit.
Features include a zipped left chest pocket made from NetPlus® recycled nylon and two zipped hand warmer pockets with brushed 180 g/m² tricot lining made from 100% recycled polyester for extra warmth and comfort. All fabrics for the lining and edging are bluesign®-certified.
The jacket is manufactured in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory, which means that the seamstresses receive an additional bonus. Weighing 675 g, it combines high thermal performance with a durable construction and timeless design - making it a reliable companion in wind and weather for years to come.
