Product information "Patagonia Swiftcurrent Wading Jacket BLSG"
The Patagonia M's Swiftcurrent wading jacket is a timeless, simple wading jacket which, thanks to its sewn-in pockets, doesn't get in the way, whether the pockets are empty or full. The wading jackets are also made from Patagonia's new NetPlus material, which is not only extremely robust, but also extremely sustainable.
The two spacious chest pockets have water-repellent zips and are sewn inwards. This has the great advantage that the pockets do not get in the way if you are also carrying a rucksack or breast pocket, for example. Behind the spacious pockets for fly boxes or other tackle, there are two protected hand warmer pockets. All of these 4 pockets have of course been set high enough so that even deep wading is no problem. The elasticated and adjustable drawstring, which allows the jacket to be customised, is also an important gimmick for deep wading.
Other great features of this high-quality wading jacket include the waterproof, adjustable cuffs, which make deep landing nets or releasing a fish no longer a problem. And secondly, the adjustable hood with its high collar, which provides optimum protection from rain and wind.
This wading jacket is made from a 4-layer performance standard outer material made from 100 % recycled nylon with a waterproof/breathable H2No™membrane, DWR (durable water repellent) finish and fully taped seams. It offers excellent weather protection and can also be worn comfortably in combination with an insulating jacket using the layering principle and is of course Fair Trade Certified™!
The sustainably manufactured Patagonia M's Swiftcurrent wading jacket is a high-quality, well thought-out wading jacket in a simple and timeless design that protects you from wind and weather, even though you hardly notice you're wearing it.
- NetPlus: Our beloved oceans and habitat for many fish that are at the top of our list as anglers, such as the GT or tarpon, are suffocating in plastic waste. An estimated 8.8 million tonnes of plastic waste is thrown into the oceans every year and fishing nets are one of the most harmful forms of this pollution. Around 650,000 marine animals become entangled in these ghost nets every year. This makes the use of NetPlus materials in Patagonia's products all the more important. NetPlus material is a recycled nylon material that is obtained from fishing nets that are no longer used. The NetPlus material is obtained by working closely with fishermen to keep or remove hundreds of tonnes of discarded nets from the sea each year. The nets are sorted, cleaned and shredded in Chile and then processed into 100% recycled nylon pellets, known as NetPlus. These pellets can then be processed into moulded plastic products, components or fibres and find a new, sustainable use!
