Product information "Nextcast Nordic 3D FH1 shooting head Float/Sink2/Sink4"

The shooting head systems from NEXTCAST are becoming increasingly popular. Especially among ambitious salmon and steelhead anglers, there has been a real hype about the sophisticated shooting heads in recent years. We have also learnt to love the customised, user-friendly tapers and the superb casting properties bring a smile to our faces every time. In addition to the very popular two-handed shooting heads and the matching tips and running lines, the extensive collection also includes very successful lines for modern streamer fishing for trout. We particularly like the fact that there is definitely the right line for every casting style and every water condition in the Nextcast range.

nextcast Nordic

The Nordic shooting heads are the successors to the extremely popular SalarFinder shooting heads, which for many salmon anglers were the benchmark for two-handed shooting heads for salmon and sea trout for many years. The special taper design, the durability of the coating and last but not least the incredible ease of use when casting and fishing made these lines so popular and this is exactly where Nextcast has picked up to create a worthy successor.

The new Nordic shooting heads combine the best of both worlds of the SalarFinder40 and SalarFinder45 lines with some changes in taper design and coating composition. The length of the Belly is somewhere between these two predecessors and is therefore a little longer than the Zone heads - perfect for medium to large waters. The belly and back taper have been designed a little thinner, which allows the line to be deposited even more cleanly for a clean presentation and improves the sinking properties of the line, especially in stronger currents. The composition of the coating has been refined so that the TPU coating is slightly softer & gentler without sacrificing durability. It is the most delicate, stable salmon line Nextcast has ever developed!

The Nordic lines are also available in a variety of different sink rates thanks to the multi-density approach and thus cover a very wide range of applications. The taper of the shooting heads has been specially developed for effective casts and clean presentations over medium to long distances. The weight is distributed in the line in such a way that high line speeds can be achieved with little effort, resulting in a tighter loop pattern and more efficient, energy-saving casts. So whether it's at the start of the season in high water and cold conditions or at the height of summer with long, fine leaders in extremely tricky conditions, the new Nordic line-up is sure to have just the right line for your area of application and your two-handed rod. Nextcast also offers the choice of a flexible multi-tip system (2D + sink tip) or a seamless 3D line without any loop connections thanks to the single piece lines. The Choice is Yours!

Nordic 3D - The universal "ready-to-go" singlepiece shooting head
This one-piece 3D version is the integrated version of the shooting head. The sinktip is therefore already seamlessly integrated into the line. These 3D lines combine three graduated sink rates and work directly "out of the box". They therefore no longer require sink tips to function perfectly. The seamless transition between the sink rates offers an even cleaner casting feel, enabling better energy transfer and more beautiful presentations. What's more, choosing the right casting weight is even easier, as all the weight needed to load the rod perfectly is contained entirely in the shooting head. With these 3D lines, Nextcast was also particularly keen to supply the right line for every conceivable situation. From full-floating to Sink4/Sink6/Sink8, everything is covered: from brutal spring fishing with heavy sinkers in cold high water to fine, delicate summer fishing with long leaders - just add a leader and go!
