The G.Loomis ASQUITH V2 fly rod series stands for the highest demands in modern fly fishing and combines innovative technology with precise workmanship and exceptional performance. Developed in collaboration between Shimano and G.Loomis, this rod series combines state-of-the-art blank construction with high-quality components and is aimed at anglers who expect maximum control, sensitivity and efficiency on every cast.
At the heart of the rods is the advanced Spiral X Core technology, which gives the blank outstanding torsional rigidity. This significantly reduces twisting of the blank under load, while at the same time optimising energy transfer during the cast. The result is a fast recovery, high casting speed and exceptionally precise line control. At the same time, the overall weight of the rod remains pleasantly low, which enables fatigue-free fishing over longer periods of time.
The ASQUITH Freshwater rods are ideal for use in a wide variety of freshwater and inshore situations. They are ideal for targeted fishing for brown trout in small to large bodies of water and also impress on the coast for targeted sea trout fishing. Here it scores with the necessary range, sensitivity and power reserve for precise casts and controlled drills. The fast action supports both fine presentations at short distances and long, powerful casts in demanding conditions.
The rod series is equipped with high-quality components: Fuji SiC titanium guides ensure low-friction line guidance and high durability, while the lightweight Recoil Snake Guides support the balance and sensitivity of the rod. The ergonomically shaped half-wells cork handle made from high-quality Korkers offers a secure hold and a comfortable grip. The overall picture is rounded off by a precisely crafted aluminium reel seat with an elegant bamboo inlay, which is not only visually appealing, but also ensures reliable and stable fixing of the reel.
