The Salar Convert Short Spey Shooting Heads are compact multi-tip shooting heads with clear Scandinavian DNA, specially developed for efficient underhand casts as well as Skagit and Scandi style casts. They impress with their powerful but controlled taper, clean turnover and precise presentation - even under demanding conditions.
Thanks to the balanced design, even very heavy sink tips and large flies can be guided with ease. The heads produce stable, powerful loops and enable precise casts - even when deep water areas or strong currents are required. At the same time, they offer secure anchoring behaviour at short distances - ideal for high water levels or tight casting situations.
Sink9-Sink12 (S9/S12)
The Sink9-Sink12 variant combines two very high sinking segments that bring flies and tips quickly and evenly to great water depths. This configuration is particularly suitable for deep pools, strong currents or when fish are close to the bottom. The graduated sink rate enables controlled sinking while maintaining direct and precise contact with the fly.
Sink9-Sink12 head models are ideal for particularly deep water areas, large flies and heavy sink tips - perfect for demanding conditions for salmon, sea trout and other large salmonids.
